for this event, juilliard welcomed alumna, violinist, attorney, and artist advocate cecelia hobbs gardner (pre-college '75; bm '80, mm '81) as speaker and moderator for our new alumni resources series, focused on offering support and guidance to our performing arts community during this difficult and unprecedented time. each webinar highlights financial, job, and career strategies aimed at maintaining a sense of stability as the arts industry redefines its future.
during the first webinar on october 28, cecelia walked us through a wide-ranging covid-19 and general resource list that she created especially with juilliard alumni in mind. it includes information on performance and project-based grants, food and financial assistance, health care, housing, and legal services.

the juilliard journal welcomes submissions for the alumni news column, which appears eight* times per year in the paper and on the web. here's how to get in touch.
*please note that due to covid-19, the juilliard journal will be releasing a lesser number issues for the 20/21 school year.
visiting juilliard
if you would like to visit the juilliard building, please email [email protected] or call (212) 799-5000, ext. 344, during business hours (monday through friday, 9am-5pm), at least one day prior to your visit so that an appointment can be created in the security system. the building is open to alumni visitors monday through friday from 8am to 7pm. weekend visits can be arranged by request on a case-by-case basis. alumni are required to show their alumni id card and photo id at the security desk upon arrival. if you do not have your alumni id card, contact the alumni office to request one.
library appointments are available monday through saturday from 9am-5pm by making an appointment 24-hours in advance. email [email protected] or [email protected] to request a library visit. please note that saturday appointments must be confirmed by the close of business day on the friday before your visit.
during the summer months, the juilliard building is not open on weekends and all administrative offices are closed on fridays. thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit!
